Obituary

Albert "Bert" Edward Baggs III, of Marshfield, passed away on January 19, 2023 at the age of 68. Bert was raised in Allston and attended Brighton High. He was a proud member of the SHARKS football club. He met the love of his life Patty "Ace" in 1971. They married in 1974 and recently celebrated their 48 th wedding anniversary. He worked at Polaroid for many years and also worked for City Wide transportation.

Bert enlisted in The US Army as a teenager. He served in Korea and Fort Dix, NJ. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going camping, traveling, working on old cars and New England Dragway. Bert loved exploring the mountains, and summer days at the beach with his children. He was a firm believer that we are not alone. 👽

Bert loved his family dearly and was very proud of them. He was always the loudest and proudest cheerleader on the sidelines of his children and grandchildren's games. He was known as "Bampy" to his grandchildren. Bert's grandson, Brendan could never say Grampy when he was little and Bert became Bampy to all of them. He would spend a few days a week with his grandsons Andrew and Kayden and this is where "Bampy daycare" was started.

He leaves behind his wife Patricia "Kenney" Baggs of 48 years. His daughter Jessica Hancock and husband Paul of Pembroke. Predeceased by his son Carl Robert Baggs and his parents Carl Baggs senior and Doris "Nolan" Baggs of Allston.

He is survived by his siblings Linda Worcester of Wareham, Jean Wilson of Saugus, Carl Baggs Jr. of Hyde Park, Edward Baggs of Wells ME, Catherine Corolla of Wells ME, and Diane O'Brien of Dedham. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brendan Baggs, Andrew Hancock, Kayden Hancock and great grandson Logan Baggs, and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
