DiBenedetto, Albert, of Humarock, May 14, 2016 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Catherine J. (Mahoney) DiBenedetto. Dear father of Dorothy Aprille and her husband Joseph of Marshfield, Catherine Ferrante and her husband Dominic of Marshfield, Albert DiBenedetto and his wife Joan of Humarock, and Robert DiBenedetto and his wife Maureen of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Dorothy and Lorenzo Pisano, Joseph Aprille, Robert Aprille and Kerri, the late Joseph Albert Aprille, Terry Shea, Karen Ames and her husband Craig, Holly Shea and her fiancé Matt Cappello, Heather DiBenedetto, Jaime Whalen and her husband Sean, Albert DiBenedetto and his wife Kelly, Gina and Danielle DiBenedetto, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Born in the North End of Boston, Al also resided in Jamaica Plain and Dedham, and summered in Humarock for 66 years. He was the owner of the Hyde Square Atlantic Gas Station in Jamaica Plain and worked at Franklin Field Motors in Dorchester as a mechanic and Service Manager. Al served as a Captain with the Boston Fire Alarm Division and retired to work with DiBenedetto Construction. Al was a man of many talents who could make or fix anything, and was a loving family man, devoted father, and dear friend to many. Shortly after the passing of his beloved wife Catherine, Al moved to Proprietor's Green Village, where he was admired and loved by all. He passed away there peacefully, surrounded by much love, family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday May 19, at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Boston.
