O'Donnell, Allen M., of Pembroke, passed away on September 16, 2017 at the age of 53. Allen was the beloved husband of Constance Wright O'Donnell, brother of Edward B. O'Donnell, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Duxbury and Susanne Skeens and her husband James of Tennessee, and leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Al had long ago turned his life, and will, over to God.
Allen was predeceased by his parents Edward and Frances of Marshfield. Allen spent most of his life locally as a carpenter and boatwright. He loved the water, his skimobile, his wife, friends, and doing projects around his home. He and his father lavished many hours working on "the Lady", a yacht he and his father restored, which he inherited when his father passed. Al was known in many circles as "Captain Al". He also loved his cats, hence his business was named "5 Cats".
Al was very active in the A.A. fellowship, and helped many to recover, at his passing he had 17 yrs. He worked with Andover Youth Services on many projects over the last 20 years, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He was tough, with a gentle touch, never had a negative thing to say, and was always ready to help a friend in need. Through his entire bout with the cancer, he never complained.
