Andrew Paul Ford of Marshfield passed away on Monday, April 10, surrounded by loved ones at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, the same place of his birth on October 4, 1981. He was only 41 years old.

Andrew is survived by his children, Chandler and Lillian Ford, and their mother, his former spouse Leigh (Chandler) Tondini; his parents, Paul Ford of Marshfield and Diane Poole of Carver; his siblings, Melissa Higgins of Sagamore Beach, Matthew Ford and his wife Kyra of Lakeville, Samantha Ford and her husband Dean Shadley of E. Bridgewater, and Amanda Ford of Weymouth. He is also survived by his stepmother, Patricia Ford of Arizona, his nephew Brandon Higgins, and several aunts and uncles.

Andrew graduated from Scituate High School in 2000 and went on to become a skilled handyman, IT manager for the state of South Carolina, a lobsterman, and a project manager. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was quick to make people laugh. He was known for his witty personality and sharp sarcasm and could often have an entire room laughing with a simple comment.

Andrew was an avid sports fan and loved the Red Sox. Some of the biggest moments of his life, including the birth of his son Chandler, happened during the few recent years in which the Red Sox won the World Series. Even living down in South Carolina, he would outfit Chandler and Lillian in Red Sox gear and teach them about Boston. Andrew would probably tell you that his greatest accomplishment was becoming a father to Chandler and Lillian. He was always thinking and talking about them and felt a sense of purpose and pride when it came to his children.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Parish Church, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Union Street in Marshfield.
