Son of the late Ethel Cataldo, Andrew "Andy" C. Kurpess, of Marshfield, passed away on January 28, 2018 after battling cancer. Beloved husband of Pamela (Faiella) Kurpess and loving father of Ryan C. Kurpess of Killeen, TX, and Alexis R. Kurpess of Boston, MA; dear brother of Deborah Bevilacqua and husband Jack, twin brother Alan Kurpes, Gayle Meyers and husband Walter, Pamela James and husband Doug, the late Butchie Kurpes and wife Kathleen, half-brother Charlie Blaisdell, several brothers and sisters by marriage, and many nieces and nephews.

Andy was a retired Corrections Officer who served 17 years with Norfolk County Sheriff's Office in Dedham, MA. He was an avid and talented drummer who played with several Boston area bands.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Couch cemetery.

In 2013, Andy bravely overcame polycystic kidney disease thanks to a transplant from his loving wife. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to either the Polycystic Kidney Foundation by visiting the website pkdcure.org, or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
