Anita Collins was born on July 7, 1933, and was raised in Gilman, VT. She later moved to Watertown, MA where she met her husband, James Collins. Anita and Jim moved to Marshfield where they raised their four children.

A devoted homemaker, she loved to sing and dance, a gift she passed on to her children. Their home was always filled with music.

She also enjoyed watching old movies and game shows, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great­ grandchildren.

She spent much of her time at the Rockland Senior Center and will be dearly missed by her friends there.

She is survived by her children, Jim, Dennis, Carolyn, and John, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marie.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Parish Church, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
