Ann M. (Linskey) Dexter of Marshfield, passed away on October 30, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of 57 years to Nathaniel "Laddie" Dexter; dear mother of Kathleen Maresco and her husband Michael, Brenda Dexter of Weymouth, and Gregg Dexter of Marshfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joseph and Maggie Maresco and her siblings Margaret Cantwell and Daniel Linskey. Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Sheerin) Linskey and was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Gerard. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ann was born in Cambridge, moved to Marshfield in 1952, and graduated Marshfield High School in 1959. After retiring from the Post Office, Ann volunteered at the Marshfield Senior Center for many years. She was a member of the Marshfield Democratic Town Committee and the Marshfield Yacht Club.

Ann's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the fabulous people of Wingate at Silver Lake who cared for her in the final years of her life with love and compassion.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 5 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Parish, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in the Couch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Wingate at Silver Lake (payable to WSL Elmwood Activities Dept.), 17 Chipman Way, Kingston MA 02364.
