Ann Marie Egan, daughter of the late Michael J. and Grace F. Egan of Belmont, sister of Michael J. Egan, Jr of Belmont, Kathleen Egan of Marshfield and Theresa Egan of Cotuit, passed on September 1, 2023, from complications of Type 1 diabetes with which she lived for 65 years, a significant achievement and much to be admired.
As a Bachelors and Masters graduate of Sargent College at the Boston University College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Ann was dedicated to her profession as a practicing physical therapist and served as a volunteer and officer of both her regional chapter in Ohio and the national APTA organizations.
Ann was a life-long craft artist who shared the gifts of her knitting, quilting, doll making, and specialty greeting cards. Ann was an avid photographer (never let a beautiful flower pass her by), avid reader with particular interests in American history and science. Oh, and followed with great curiosity the evolving government information regarding extra-terrestrial objects! Ann had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh, often and with great joy.
In accordance with Ann's wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Donations in recognition of Ann's life-long accomplishments over her many health challenges can be made in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) at jdrf.org or (800) 533-CURE (2873).
