Ann M. Russell of Marshfield, originally of Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 27, 2022. She was 81 years old.

Ann was born in Tralee on March 7, 1941 and was raised in a loving home with her mother Ann, father Michael, and five siblings. She was a strong believer in her Catholic faith and was adventurous enough to emigrate from her ancestral home to Boston when she was just 18 years old. Ann worked as a secretary for John Hancock Insurance and raised her own family in the town of Hanover, Massachusetts, where she taught Sunday School for many years at St. Mary's Church. Ann was also a strong advocate for people living with disabilities.

Ann was a loving Mother and Nana and adored her family. Her happiest moments were with her family, especially her son Michael, who has Down Syndrome, and her four grandchildren. She was a generous person and would never hesitate to help those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, cheering them on at school events, doing arts and crafts projects, teaching them how to bake her favorite recipes, and bestowing the unconditional love that "only a Nana could give."

Ann was the loving mother of Laura A. Sherman, Michael J. Russell, and Denise L. Judge; cherished sister of Tom O'Sullivan of CA (deceased), Richard O'Sullivan of Hingham (deceased), Michael O'Sullivan of Gloucester, Bridie Waters of England, and Jack O'Sullivan of Ireland; and adored Nana of Bella, Mia, Neila & Moneen. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield, followed by the Funeral Mass in Saint Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
