Anne (Gillis) Prall, 68 of Pembroke, a longtime resident of Marshfield, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on June 1, 2022. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. Anne is the mother of Jay Prall of Dracut and Jonathan Prall of Pembroke, and grandmother to Aiden and Madeline Prall. Daughter of James and Ruth (Martin) Gillis of Westwood, she was the dear sister of James Gillis of Attleboro, Carol Gillis and her husband William of West Roxbury, and the late Barbara Gillis.
Anne grew up in Dedham, where she attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Dedham High School. She then graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. Anne worked as a Registered Nurse for almost 50 years, and was currently employed at Bridges Assisted Living Facility in Pembroke.
Anne was an avid gardener who grew her own vegetables and fruits, which she canned to share with family and friends. She enjoyed living on a farm and raising chickens. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and her Black Lab, Daisy.
Special thanks go out to the Nurses and Doctors at South Shore Hospital Critical Care Unit who provided heartfelt care for Anne and her family at the end of her life.
