Treadwell, Anne M. of Marshfield, passed away on October 29 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Treadwell. Loving mother of Curtis Treadwell and his wife Patricia of Center Barnstead, NH, Lynn Doyle of Carver, MA and Aleta Treadwell of Falmouth, MA. Loving grandmother of Madeline, Jacob, Ian, Sean, Sarah and Jessica. Great grandmother of Finn. Dear sister of the late David Blackhurst. Anne was born in Glasgow, Scotland to John and Nancy Blackhurst. She and her family overcame the struggles of a city under attack during WWII. Anne was always thankful for the American's contribution to help end that war, so when she found an opportunity to assist the local veterans and the service men and women overseas, she jumped right in. Anne's hard work was recognized on several occassions and she was affectionately named "honorary veteran" by the local organization. Anne took great pride in her volunteer work and loved all her veteran friends. Anne enjoyed attending the North Community Church in Marshfield and spoke highly of her fellowship there as well. If you met Anne once, she would forever know your name and consider you a friend.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield. The funeral service will be followed by interment at 12:30 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Center St., Dover, MA. Contributions in Anne's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , P.O.
