Anthony "Andy" Kindamo passed away at home on March 3rd, 2025, 21 months after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma.

Born in Rosindale to Anthony and Josephine Kindamo 1949, he moved to Marshfield and graduated from MHS in 1967.  After graduation, Andy opted to enlist in the US Marines and fought in The Vietnam War.  Upon his return home, he graduated from Boston State College in 1974 and continued to serve as a Marine until his retirement as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in 1993.

Andy wore many uniforms during his career, working as a firefighter, deputy sheriff and carpenter.  After retirement and throughout his treatments, he continued to work with Atlantic Nuclear in Rockland, MA.

Andy was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fly fishing and competitive target shooting throughout the country. Andy took great pleasure in traveling to national parks and historical sites with friends and family. Even after his diagnosis, never complaining and never wavering, Andy continued to travel, fish, hunt, and explore.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife Andrea. He leaves behind sons, Jason and his girlfriend Rebecca, Kevin and his wife Rebecca as well his grandchildren Chase and Charlie Rae, who brought him immense pride and joy, brother Paul and his wife Corine and last but not least, his faithful Sheppard the dog who never left his side. He was preceded in death by his sisters Kathy and Marianne and his brother Greg, whose memories he held dear.

Visiting hours will be held on March 16th, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield with a gathering afterwards at the 291 Ocean Street Restaurant (formerly Haddad's) in Marshfield.
