Bradford, Arthur D., of Duxbury, April 19, 2016, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Bradford. Dear father of John Bradford of Duxbury, Jeffrey Bradford of Westfield, Judy Graner of Marco Island, FL, and the late David Bradford. Loving grandfather of Brittany, Cash, and Kali. Dear brother of the late Frances Bradford, Richard Bradford, Paul Bradford, and William Bradford. Arthur is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Arthur was a graduate of Duxbury High School. After High School he went to Gallup's Island to become a radio officer. He joined the merchant marines and spent many hours on the sea as a radio officer. After the war he went to New Jersey and met his wife Margaret. He moved back to Duxbury in 1958 and went to work for AT&T in Boston.

Arthur was an avid fisherman, clammer and boatsman. He was a scout leader, ham radio operator, president of the Lions Club, assistant harbormaster and a volunteer fireman for the town of Duxbury. After retirement he enjoyed building wheelbarrows, fishing, traveling and caring for his wife, Margaret.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
