Arthur Alexander Seaberg, Jr
October 19, 1946- March 7, 2024
Born to Arthur A. and Anna (Anderson) Seaberg, Arthur left us suddenly. He leaves his stepdaughter, Leah, and his sisters: Carol Haselden (Kyle, Dave) and Ruthie (George) Wile, nephews Chris (Kelley) Wile, Mike (Michele) Wile and Debbie (Bill) Allen, Kerstin (Jon) Felske, Elizabeth (John) Monahan, three grand nephews, three grand nieces, and two great grandnephews. His partner Robin Daley predeceased him.
Arthur joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from Scituate High School in 1964. He served on the US Wilkenson where he was in several South American countries, the Caribbean and Canada during the Vietnam War. The crew called him a "Kiddie Cruiser". Arthur attended Tusculum College in Tusculum, Tennessee after his stint in the Navy.
Arthur grew up in Humarock and spent a lot of time on the South River swimming, fishing and boating. He lived in Marshfield most of his life.
Arthur was a shy, gentle man and lived a modest life. He was always family oriented, especially with Leah and the Wile family. Arthur was an avid reader and had a remarkable memory. His dry sense of humor kept us entertained. He followed the news and supported the liberal views.
Leah will miss his help in caring for her. Daisy, his dog, will miss the beach walks. The Wile family will miss the family celebrations and the days at the Marshfield Yacht Club with Arthur. Carol will miss his long-distance phone chats mostly about the family, the political situation, and the latest books. Arthur is memorialized in Marshfield's Veterans Honor Roll in South River Park.
He will be cremated, and a Celebration of Arthur's life will be held at a later time. Our younger brother left us much too early. We cherish the fond memories.
RIP UNK!
