On October 5, 2025 our beloved Augustina (Auggie) Santos known to many as "Ma" left this world peacefully in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 90. Though she has passed on her love still fills every corner of our lives.

She was the daughter of the late Rose and Domingo Andrade. She is survived by her sister Mary Gonsalves of Marshfield, Massachusetts and reunites in heaven with her siblings Albert Andrade, Frederick Andrade, Joseph Andrade and Judith Barbosa.

Augustina was the devoted mother of Raymond Santos of Carver, MA, Trina (Rick) Strothers of Snellville, GA, Michelle (Charles) Gonsalves of Charlotte, NC and Dana Santos of Plymouth, MA.  She was predeceased by her children Mona Santos of New Bedford, MA, Georgianna (Gigi) Smith of Stockton, CA and Rodney Santos of Covington, GA. She was their rock and inspiration, who would listen with love and guide through experience.

To her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was the heart of the family, the storyteller, the one whose love made every gathering feel like home.

For many years, Augustina poured her heart into her Tailoring business, Augustina's Alterations in Marshfield, Massachusetts.  Her shop was never just about sewing - it was a place where family and friends gathered, where conversations flowed as easily as the stitches from her hands, and where she quietly provided for her family and community with grace and pride.

She always found joy in life's simplest treasures. In her younger years, daisy's her favorite flower brightened her garden, just as her presence brightened ours. She enjoyed making handmade braided rugs and loved antiques.  Later she could often be found in her chair with a book resting in her hands and a blanket across her lap.

Those who knew her will forever remember her sweetness, grace and the how her smile would brighten even the darkest room.  She loved without hesitation and left us all better for having been loved by her.

She leaves behind a family and community forever changed by her tenderness, strength and unwavering love.

Though her chair is now empty, her love remains-woven into our stories, our traditions and our hearts.  Like the daisies she adored, her memory with continue to bloom bright and enduring, reminding us always of the beauty of a life lived with love.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield, where we will gather to honor her memory, share stories and give thanks for the extraordinary gift of her 90 years. Following the celebration the family will gather at the Knights of Columbus 48 Schoosett St. Pembroke, MA from 2:00 to 6:00 pm
