Deveney, Barbara A. of Marshfield, formerly of Medfield, passed away on August 24 at the age of 89. Daughter of the late Roger A. and Mary F. (Kenney) Deveney. Dear sister of Claire C. Meehan of Marshfield and the late Edward J. Deveney, Roger F. Deveney, Mary F. Deveney and Geraldine M. Rogers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was born and raised in Jamaica Plain. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Regis College and her Master's Degree from Boston State University. She was teacher at the John P. Manning School in Jamaica Plain for 20 years. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, August 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, August 28 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Old Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
