Plummer Barbara Patricia (Short) of Marshfield passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 17, 2015, at the age of 82.

Barbara grew up in Scituate and was well known at the Scituate Yacht Club for her sailing, synchronized swimming, back stroke and crawl. She was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. She was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher at the North Community Church, and a former member of the League of Woman voters. She was a long term employee at Gates Clothing in Scituate. She was an avid reader and teacher to us all. She loved her family, home, gardens and cats.

Barbara was the wife of the late Donald L. Plummer. She was the loving mother of Kimberly Plummer and her partner, William Brennan of Marshfield, Bonnie White and her husband Norman of Pembroke, Brett Plummer and his partner Nancy Sloan of Westport Island, Maine, Craig Plummer and his wife Kristy of Greensfield, NY, Melissa Eddy and her husband David of Westport Island, Maine and her Cats. She was the Loving Nana of 12 grandchildren and Nana P (Great Grandmother) of 10.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at her Home, 1309 Ferry Street, Marshfield, MA, Saturday, August 22 from 2 to 6 pm.
