Southard, Barbara Anne "Bobby" (Hill), of Marshfield, passed away on October 25, 2016 at the age of 85. Barbara is the beloved wife of 66 years of Guy L. Southard and the loving mother of Linda Ruth Collins, Ronald Drew Southard, David Lester Southard, Mark Carlton Southard, and Douglas Hill Southard. She also leaves 16 cherished Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

A lifelong resident of Marshfield, Barbara also known as Bobby to her family and friends, was a 1949 Graduate of Marshfield High School where she met her husband Guy. Bobby was the Secretary of her graduating class and was also a cheerleader and played softball. While she was raising her family, Bobby also found the time to earn her nursing degree as an LPN from Jordan Hospital. Upon graduation she began a long career as the head nurse for Dr. John Dalco whose practice was located on the Driftway in Scituate Mass. Barbara was the daughter of Anson Drew Hill and Norma A. Hill. She was predeceased by two sisters Betty (Ginger) and Joannie as well as a brother that passed away shortly after birth. Bobby loved to read, listen to music and watch Lawrence Welk.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
