Barbara J. (Caldwell) Worth, of Marshfield, passed away on April 4, 2018 at the age of 90.  Beloved mother of David Worth and his wife Lisa of Buzzard's Bay and Nancy Field and husband Bradley of Marshfield. Barbara is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Erikson, and brother Ralph "Bud" Caldwell, II. She was the loving grandmother of Andrew, Julia, and William.

Barbara's first job was at Woolworth's, Boston in high school, then after secretarial schooling and accounting courses, worked at Shawmut Bank, later on Jordan Marsh Dept. Store in Braintree. Barbara was a devoted mother, an active member of the First Congregational Church for many many years. She performed as a Deaconess of the church, assisting in important rituals of Communion, preparing for celebrations, of the Church, visiting homebound and sick. She sang Soprano in the choir every Sunday for many years. She participated in craft making with the " Potpourri" group, whose efforts help to support the annual church fair each summer. Family night suppers were wonderful times spent together, on a Saturday night with the church friends. Barbara enjoyed sports, sprinting, swimming, tennis, golfing, bike riding and as she was older brisk walks were a favorite. She attended art classes, rug braiding, bowling on a team. She was an amazing homemaker, gardening- many varieties of flowers and plants. She adored her pets - they were well cared for and loved. Her passion for her family was continual. Grandchildren were a source of joy for her and her interest in them gave her renewed life in later years. She travelled quite a bit and enjoyed company met on cruises, and destinations of warmer climates in winter, and trips up to Maine, islands, and Nova Scotia in summer time. Barbara lived a full life. So many photographs, and stories help us to recollect and will help to keep her memory in our hearts.
