Barry Edward Lund passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 66. Son the late Norman T. and Alice V. (Barry) Lund, Barry leaves behind a daughter, Heather Young and her husband Dominic, his brother Thomas Lund (Connie) of Winthrop and is also survived by his lifelong best friend and Cousin Colleen (Flynn) Goggin of Malden.

Born in Boston, Barry and his family moved from the North Shore to their new neighborhood home in the Southport section of Marshfield. A new 300 or more home section with hard working families that eventually became as close as a 12-home cul-de-sac. Barry knew everyone and everyone knew him, blonde kid with a laugh and a smile that was unforgettable, Barry walked to School at the newly built Daniel Webster School then continued Middle School at Martinson Elementary School before finishing his Schooling at Marshfield High School. After School Barry followed the family tradition of his father Norman and brother Tommy working for Dorel Steel for many years Tommy and Barry were members of Local 7 Iron Workers. Barry eventually started working odd jobs fishing and lobstering locally in Marshfield before returning to Everett. He also loved boating and Hunting. Barry passed on Wednesday at the CHA Everett Hospital in Everett after several years of failing health. Barry will be warmly remembered as a great friend to everyone who knew him and did not have a mean bone in his body.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Winslow cemetery Marshfield, where he will be laid to rest with his mother and father.
