Obituary

Beverly (Lamb) Nelson of Marshfield passed away on October 24, 2023, after a brief illness. She was 84 years old.

Beverly and her twin Bill Lamb were born on July 10, 1939, to Marvin T. and Rose M. (Campise) Lamb in Huntington Park, CA.

In 1962 she met the love of her life, Arthur E. Nelson Jr. of Massachusetts, while working for Honeywell in California. He gave her the world as they traveled the world. Their love for each other was eternal and vibrant. They married on April 15, 1966, blending their families together until his passing.

Beverly graduated in 1954 from Woodward high school. She studied psychology, sociology, and behavioral health. Her forte was facilitating bereavement groups, having her own experience with the loss of her son Jimmy to suicide and spousal loss. She was also a Hospice volunteer. She expanded her journey in Hospice and bereavement work by joining Robin's Nest as part of the Amarylis Foundation, a nonprofit center assisting people living with HIV and AIDS. After 'the Nest' closed she and her friends from Amarylis founded the nonprofit South Shore Bridge, which also assisted people with HIV.  She ran a wrapping station at the Kingston Mall every Christmas to raise funds for The Bridge. She extended her dedication, continuing her Hospice and bereavement groups until her passing. She was loved by many in the community for her dedication. She will be missed by her many friends and family.

Beverly 's final mission was to open the Nelson Suicide Support group in Marshfield. Sadly, she passed away one week prior to its fruition however, this was a poignant example of Beverly's steadfast determination and commitment to helping others. She was the embodiment of these words she lived by, "You can be what your mind can see. Expand your vision."

Beverly is predeceased by her parents Marvin and Rose Lamb, her son James Crupi, husband Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., and granddaughter Amber T. Anderson. She is survived by her children Anthony Nelson, Regina "Jina" Anderson Jensen (Nelson) and her husband Wayne, David Nelson, Faye Donnelly (Nelson) and Mark Nelson; her brother Bill Lamb and his wife Rose of California, sister Jean Miceli of Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
