Bill F. Johnson, Jr., of Marshfield, passed away on July 4, 2019 with his partner Karen and his Golden Retriever "Ricky Boy" by his side. He was 62 years of age and had a nine-month fight with leukemia.
Bill leaves his partner of 8 years, Karen Bayha, of Marshfield and his beloved Golden Retriever "Ricky Boy," brothers Stephen Johnson and his wife Allyson of Middleboro, Tim Johnson of Weymouth, and Ryan Johnson of Los Angeles, California, and his Niece Ashlee Johnson and her children, Makenzie, Logan, Kyle and Chase. He was the son of William "Beanzy" Johnson and Catharine "Buckley" Johnson.
Bill grew up in Brockton, was a member of Saint Coleman's parish, a graduate of Xavierian Brothers High School and Stonehill College. A music instructor at Berklee College of Music, most of his career was in the finance and banking industry. He served as Treasurer of the Board for Prevent Blindness America and on the Board of Cardinal Cushing Center. Bill's passions included sailing and music.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield MA. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. to Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. There will be a celebration luncheon following the service. Burial will be private.
