Bonnie Lee Chaves

July 24, 1958 - June 2, 2020

Bonnie Lee Chaves (Metcalf) of Marshfield passed away at her home peacefully on June 2, 2020. She was the daughter of Jennie Lee Duby and David A. Metcalf.

Bonnie, also known as Nanny and Bon Bon, was the light that lit the room when she walked in. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend to many.

Bonnie was born and raised in Massachusetts, went to East Bridgewater High School (Class of 1977) and attended Massasoit Community College as a Computer Technician. She was a former Inspector for Foxboro Company.

Bonnie was a book of knowledge for advice. Her religious views were "all religions share the message of Love! What you put forth into the universe is what your will get back; the laws of attraction are the cosmic Karma of our being!"

Bonnie's favorite place was the ocean, and we all have special memories with her at the beach. We remember her as a loving person with a big heart. She loved to cook and read. Bonnie loved to go to the Fair and was great at helping her niece and granddaughter flirt with boys at the Fair. She loved family gatherings and time with friends. She treasured time with her family.

Everything in Bonnie's home had a place and she so enjoyed being at home. She had a love for her animals, dogs, cats, birds, even wild animals. She loved them and boy, did they love her!

Bonnie's laugh will never be forgotten. She will be missed by her surviving Mother, Aunt, Daughter, son in-law, Grandchildren, Sisters, Brothers, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, her cats, and her many friends.

May Bonnie know we are at ease knowing you have Peace and are surrounded by Angels. We know you are swimming with dolphins in Heaven. We all love you!

Due to the current conditions, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
