Edward C. Kelly, III, of Marshfield, passed away suddenly on July 5, 2022 at the age of 68. Affectionately known as "Bonzo" to all who knew him, he was beloved husband of the late Karen (Martinowski) Kelly, son of the late Edward C. Kelly, Jr. and Frances (Driscoll) Kelly, and dear brother of Barbara J. Kelly of Green Harbor.

Bonzo graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical School and was a 4th generation plumber, who were all members of Local 12 Plumbers Union. He started out working side by side with his father at Edward C. Kelly Plumbing and Heating Company, based in Braintree, then ultimately started his own business in the greater Marshfield area, where he quickly became the "go-to" plumber in town.

Bonzo was big in stature with an even bigger heart. His distinct laughter was well known by his neighbors and friends alike but his generosity was his signature. He was always ready to pitch in to solve a plumbing problem or buy the first round of drinks to start the night off. To know him was not only to love him but to cherish his kindness and loyalty, which is what he stood for.

In continuing with Bonzo's wishes there will be a celebration of his wonderful life on Friday, July 15, 2022 from Noon to 4:00 p.m. at Haddad's Restaurant in Marshfield. All are invited. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with his generous spirit, donations in his memory can be made to the Plumbers Local 12 Scholarship Fund, Attn: Kelly Scholarship, 1240 Mass Ave, Dorchester MA 02125.
