Crosby, Brendan J., Sr., of Marshfield, passed away on July 27, 2016 at the age of 86. Brendan is the beloved husband of Anne Marie "Mary" Crosby and the dear father of Moira Crosby of Marshfield, Brendan J. Crosby Jr. of Carver, Kevin J. Crosby of Boston and Elaine Crosby of Cohasset. Predeceased are his 4 brothers and one sister, Brendan leaves 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Brendan served in the U.S. Military, mainly in the Army Reserves, for 30 years. He was a Media Specialist in Maine, Pembroke at Silver Lake Regional High School in the 70"s and taught in Ft. Belvoir VA at the School of Engineering and at the IRS in D.C. He loved to sing and paint, enjoyed his computer and was especially known for his rhyming and tales of leprechauns. He is a 3rd and 4th degree knight of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Night in Great Meadows, NJ.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home Monday, August 1, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brendan's name can be made to St. Christine's church and mailed to the address above.
