Clarke, Brian P., of Marshfield, MA. and Cocoa Beach, FL, formerly of Quincy, MA. and Savin Hill, MA, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024 after a long battle with COPD. Loving son of the late Emerson Wesley Clarke and Helen (MacDonald) Clarke. Beloved husband of Paula (Taber) Clarke. Also survived by his siblings Wesley W. Clarke and wife Dolly of Braintree, Susan E. Clarke and husband Peter Willmott of the UK., Janice Foley of NC. Predeceased by sisters Karen J. Hodges of TN., and Linda M. Louis-Jeune of Braintree, MA. Also survived by brother-in-law Mark L Hodges of TN., and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Brian was born in Boston, MA. in 1948 and grew up in the Savin Hill section of Dorchester. He attended St. Williams School and Boston Public Schools.
Brian was an extremely proud member of Boston Pipefitters Local #537 and worked throughout the Boston area and on the Alaskan Pipeline. He most recently received his 55-year membership certificate for his dedication years of service to Pipefitters Local 537.
In retirement, Brian kept busy with his many household projects both in Marshfield and Cocoa Beach. He was generous to a fault and never hesitated to help anyone in need. As most people know, Brian loved playing the Lottery and Keno and always enjoyed a good time and having a few beers!
Visiting hours will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon followed by a brief prayer service.
