Howley, Brian W., of Marshfield, 60, passed away on June 24, 2015. Devoted husband of Jill (Turner) Howley. Loving father of William "Bill", Kate, and Megan Howley, all of Marshfield. Brian is predeceased by a daughter Emily, and is survived by his brother and sister in-law Thomas "Tom" and Marion Howley of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Born in Dorchester to Thomas and Mary (Norton) Howley, Brian attended St. Ann's Grammar School in Dorchester and graduated from North Quincy High School before earning his degree from the Mass College of Liberal Arts. An accomplished athlete, Brian boxed with the Dorchester Youth League and was a member of the Neponset Flag Football League. He shared this passion for sports with his own children, always involved in their various activities, and also with the children of Marshfield as a Youth League Soccer Coach. Brian enjoyed skydiving and scuba diving and was a devout member of Christ Lutheran Church in Scituate, where he also served as a Trustee.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte 139), Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 460 CJC Highway (Rte 3A) Scituate, MA.
