Brian Ward Patterson passed away in the comfort of his home on July 4. He was born on November 3, 1945, the son of the late Charles and Agnes (Ward) Patterson of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada.  Beloved husband of Loretta (Flight) Patterson, he is survived by his children, Brian II, of Marshfield and his wife, Kara, and Ashley Roberts and her husband, Ryan, of Duxbury.  He is also survived by four siblings Paul and his wife, Cathy, of St. John West, New Brunswick, Canada, Charles and his wife, Dianne, of Bonaire, Georgia, Dawn of Fernandina, Florida, and William and his wife, Marie, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Brian graduated from Boston University. Before his retirement, he was the Director of Facilities at Boston Wharf Company.  He was a former member of the Hingham Yacht Club.  He spent many hours devoted to his favorite charity, The Boston Aid to the Blind. He enjoyed golf, sailing and traveling, but most of all spending time with his family and beloved dog, Lily.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Haddad's Ocean Cafe, 291 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
