Brooke Kennedy of Marshfield, passed away on January 8, 2019 at the age of 76. Beloved mother of Heather Kennedy of Braintree, Aubrey Nielsen and her husband Michael of Marshfield, and Kathy Marburger of Texas and grandmother of the late Trevor Nielsen; dear sister of Mark Edmands, Kate McGee, September McGee, Diane Leonard and Maryanne Leonard.

Brooke spent her younger years between Staten Island, Boston and Nantucket. It wasn't until the late '70s she discovered Marshfield while on vacation that she decided to make it home. She quickly became a local, bartending at the Roadhouse and various restaurants over the years. She was gifted with many talents including sketch art, embroidery, and sewing homemade dolls. Her creative mind never stopped, often going into overdrive while passing a yard sale or anything labeled "free". Family and friends will miss her free spirit, her generosity, and her love of all living things. She always had a snack on hand just in case an animal friend came visiting. We will miss her homemade chocolates, her love of gardening, her need to be near the ocean (because salt air could cure anything) and her lessons she taught through example and story.

Visiting hours on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. will conclude with a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brooke's memory can be made to the Marshfield Community Christmas, P.O. Box 713, Marshfield MA 02050.
