Obituary

C. Frederick Teague, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family.

Fred was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, a retired Marshfield Police officer, and above all, a man whose greatest joy was the family he built and cherished. He was admired for his remarkable work ethic, quiet strength, and steady sense of fairness. In every part of his life, he led by example, showing those around him what it meant to live with integrity, loyalty, and compassion.

For many years, Fred served with dedication in the Marshfield Police Department, committing himself to protecting and supporting his community. He had a special concern for those who were often overlooked and was always ready to stand beside someone who needed support, guidance, or simply a person in their corner. More than a career, his service reflected the kind and generous man he was.

Above all else, Fred’s greatest blessing was the 63 years he shared with his beloved wife, Sue. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their marriage was a true testament to enduring love and partnership, and the family they raised together was his deepest source of pride.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; his son, Dean Teague, and his wife, Susan, of South Carolina; his son, Brian Teague, and his wife, Pam, of North Carolina; his daughters, Chrissie Teague and Suzy Teague, both of Marshfield; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn Haueter, and her husband, Lieutenant Commander Zach Haueter, of Iwakuni, Japan; and his granddaughter, Lucy Tamburo, of Marshfield.

His granddaughters brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying time together, he made each member of his family feel deeply loved and valued.

Fred will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to his family, his dedicated service to the Town of Marshfield, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, strength, and generosity. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the family he cherished, and the community he faithfully served.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield.
