Carol Lynn Van Dewoestine, born on May 7, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Marshfield, Massachusetts. She was the beloved daughter of Norman LaRochelle and Elizabeth Siverman and is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Hope Van Dewoestine, and her cherished granddaughter, Emily. Carol is also remembered fondly by her sister, Julie McKay, nieces and nephews.
Known affectionately as "Mimi," Carol was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many. She was a talented artist, finding joy in knitting, drawing, painting, and gardening. With a natural green thumb, she brought beauty to her surroundings and shared her artistic talents with those around her.
Carol had a special bond with animals and was often referred to as the "dog whisperer." Her love for family was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment spent with them. she often found solace in music, while also enjoying the latest shows on Netflix. Carol was a dedicated professional; her career began in the late 1960s at the Statler Hilton in Boston, where she typed banquet menus. She went on to work as a medical secretary and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), dedicating many years to her work at Cohasset Knoll until her retirement.
Carol embraced life with passion and creativity. Her legacy will live on through her family and the many lives she touched with her kindness and artistic spirit.
