Obituary

CAROL A. (NOONAN) FRASCA - It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of Carol on November 4, 2025 at the age of 86.   Carol was born and raised in South Boston and was a member of the Gate of Heaven Parish.  Although she was a true "Southie" girl, Carol dreamed of leaving the city behind, having a home of her own, and raising a family.   At the ripe old age of 17, Carol met and married her husband, Bob, with whom she enjoyed nearly 47 years of marriage.

Bob and Carol moved to Marshfield in 1957 where they raised their three daughters and owned and operated the Marshfield B.P. Gas Station in Fieldston until Bob's death in 2003.  Carol's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her daughters and her many friends, some of whom she has been close to since childhood.  Carol was sweet and loyal and was the best secret keeper you'd ever meet.  She was also a wonderful cook having been taught, at the insistence of her husband, by her Italian father-in-law.  When her granddaughter recently asked what her favorite food was growing up, she said boiled dinner, but especially the cabbage.  We are guessing this is why she was encouraged to learn how to cook a good Italian meal.

After raising her family and nursing her own mother through her death from cancer, Carol realized she had a passion and talent in caring for others, particularly the elderly.   Soon after her mother's death, she trained for and became a nurse's aide at the Bay Path Nursing Home in Kingston, Massachusetts.

In addition to her late husband, Carol was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Mary Noonan, and her brother, Bobby Noonan.  She is survived by her brother, Paul Noonan of Manassas, Virginia, her daughters and sons-in law, Lynne and Stephen Campbell of South Weymouth, Massachusetts; Dawna and Mike Pond of Strong, Maine; and Holly and Stephen Visco of Nantucket, Massachusetts.   She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Michael and Jordan Ferreira and Abigail and Maggie Visco, her great-granddaughter, Harper Ferreira, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 9, at 11:00 a.m. Burial on Monday, November 10 will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
