WALLS, Carol (Chisholm) of Cohasset, passed away peacefully on June 9th, at the age of 92. Carol was married for 62 years to the late Robert T Walls, the love of her life (and the life of the party). She was the beloved mother of six children - Robert T Walls, Jr (Joanna) of Arlington, TX, Colleen (Stephen) Hines, of Darien, CT, Michael (Tricia) Walls, of Hilton Head, SC, Jeffrey (Stacey) Walls, of Bluffton, SC, Tish (Matt) Adams, of Humarock, MA, and Nancy (Steve) Carell, of Los Angeles, CA. Carol was also "Grancey" to 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Born to Alexander and Philester (Mooney) Chisholm on March 30th, 1932, Carol was raised an only child in New Rochelle, NY. Her summers were spent in Green Harbor, MA, where she met her future husband in 1945. In 1950, she graduated from New Rochelle High School and also won the title of "Miss New Rochelle," something Bob liked to mention, repeatedly. In 1952, Carol graduated from Georgetown Visitation Junior College in Washington, DC and was married in December of that year. After their marriage, Bob and Carol lived at Camp Lejeune, NC, where Bob was stationed, and then later moved to Abington, MA and St. Louis, MO before finally settling in Cohasset for 32 happy years. There they were members of the Cohasset Golf Club, and Carol served as one of the very first editors of the cookbook "Cohasset Entertains." She also used her fabulous cooking skills to operate a catering company "Celebrations" with several of her closest friends. Carol loved balancing her checkbook and it surprised no one when she decided to work at H+R Block for several years, filling out other people's tax returns for fun and profit. In retirement, she and Bob split their time between Green Harbor and Fort Meyers, FL playing golf and tennis, and entertaining many visiting grandchildren. After Bob's passing, she lived for 8 years at Linden Ponds in Hingham, MA, close to her best friend of 70 years, Nancy Watson.

Carol will be greatly missed by the many, many people who loved her. She and Bob created a loving and happy home for their six children, a priceless gift for which they will always be grateful. The family would like to thank Sue Mastrangelo and Eileen Walls who devoted so much time and love to Carol and provided her with much needed companionship in her later years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Parish Church, 10 Summer Street in Cohasset.
