Petrizzi, Charlene (Costa) 77 of Marshfield January 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Loving mother of Charles V. "Chip" Petrizzi and his wife Lisa of Burlington, MA. Grandmother of Nicolas, Anthony, Annalisa and Isabella Petrizzi. Sister of Robert Costa and his wife Diane of N.C. Charles Costa and his wife Pam of Stoughton, Kenneth Costa of Las Vegas, NV. And the late Vincent Costa.
Born and raised in Jamaica Plain. Charlene graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School class of 1954. She was a former Sister of Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ. from 1954 to 1968. Charlene married Charles H. Petrizzi in 1969 and earned a Master's degree in teaching from Boston College. She and Charles settled in Marshfield in 1972. Charlene taught at Scituate High School from 1971 to 1980, she was a life time learner and she loved to teach. Charlene was a fantastic cook and had an appreciation for music, art and theatre; she cherished her family and friendships.
Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 10:00 am to 12 noon.
A Funeral Service for Charlene will be held at 12:00 noon following the visiting hours.
A private Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery Boston at a later date.
