Obituary

Christopher Robin Cantrell, born February 25th, 1979, passed away surrounded by his family on July 14th, 2017.  His long battle with cancer is over, and we are thankful that he is no longer suffering and resting in God's arms.  He is survived by his wife Alice Elizabeth Morby Cantrell, his two year old son Charles Edwin Alexander Cantrell, his grandmother Bridget Verdin Chapple, his mother Victorine Kay Cantrell, his father Johnny Ray Cantrell, and his brother Andre John Cantrell.

He lived a full life that ended far too soon.  His work as a private chef and his love of the outdoors took him throughout the U.S., Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean.  Chris was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and also lived in Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, The Bahamas, England, and onboard yachts that traveled up and down the Eastern Seaboard and through Asia, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean.
Chris had many hobbies and interests.  His love of food and cooking was more than just a vocation for him.  He enjoyed anything that allowed him to spend time outdoors - fishing, camping, photography, scuba diving.  Most of all he will be remembered as a loyal husband, father, family member, and friend to so many.  We will all miss Chris' infectious smile and his generous heart that always put others first.
A funeral service will be held at Sanctuary Church at 185 Plain Street, Marshfield, Massachusetts 02050 on Wednesday, July 19th at 6pm.  We are so thankful for the role that church has played in meeting the needs of and ministering to Chris, Alice, and Charlie throughout this past year.  For those who prefer to donate rather than send flowers, please consider making a donation to the church, by mail to 185 Plain Street, Marshfield MA 02050 or online at https://sanctuary.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=74
