Claire H. (Driscoll) Hedrick passed away on May 31, 2020 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Hedrick; loving mother of Katherine Morlan and her husband Donald of Alabama and the late Elaine Gallagher of Randolph; cherished grandmother of Nicole Bennett (husband Derek) of Duxbury, Jessica Tindall (husband Chris) of Missouri, and great-grandchildren Shivaun, Derek, and Aiden; dear sister of the late Harry Driscoll of Lakeville and the late Marie and husband Duane of Michigan, Claire leaves siblings Richard and his wife Margaret of Barnstead, NH, sister in-law Joan of Lakeville, and many nieces and nephews.

Claire grew up on a farm in New Hampshire and always spoke of her childhood memories of making maple syrup and collecting eggs - the latter was not one of her favorite chores. She spent her childhood and teenage years in Barnstead, NH and Randolph, MA. Claire was an avid reader and mainly enjoyed reading mystery novels.

Claire traveled to every state within the United States with her beloved husband Joe, with the exception of Alaska, a trip that had been planned but did not occur due to the untimely death of her husband. She often reflected on her travels, describing Utah as her favorite state to visit. After having her daughters, Kathy and Elaine, she devoted her life to raising them and taking care of her family. Her children were raised in Randolph, a town that was close to her heart. After her daughter Elaine fell ill due to complications of diabetes, she dedicated herself to her care and also to the care of Elaine's daughter Nicole.

Claire moved to Halifax to retire and loved living in her community, where she enjoyed playing Bingo on Monday nights. She had many great friends and neighbors whom she adored. She continued to be a huge part of her granddaughter's and great-grandchildren's lives. She never missed a holiday or birthday and was always concerned with everyone's welfare. She lived out the remainder of her years quietly, enjoying her friends and family. Claire passed away surrounded by her family at Cape Cod Hospital where she finally had a room with a beautiful ocean view.
