Claire M Leaman (Caruso), 76, of Marshfield passed away peacefully on Thursday May 18, 2023, after a brief illness. She is the daughter of the late James and Clara Caruso of Roslindale.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband William F Leaman of Marshfield.  She is survived by her children Christopher Leaman and his wife Dorothy of Pembroke, Stephen Leaman of Marshfield, William F. Leaman Jr and his wife Marianne of Hanover and her adoring granddaughters Christine and Caroline.  Claire is also survived by her brother John Caruso and his wife Arleene of Wrentham, her brother Gerald Caruso and wife Ginny of Medfield, and sister of the late James Caruso II.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

As a young girl Claire loved spending her summers on Humarock Beach and eventually built her family home in Marshfield.  Claire graduated from Wheelock college and went on to teach at Head Start and South Shore Collaborative.  Claire also worked at the Nautical Mile restaurant in Humarock where she met and maintained lifelong friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Thursday May 25, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery.
