Claire C. (Deveney) Meehan, of Marshfield, formerly of Taunton and Medfield, passed away on July 15, 2017 at the age of 96. Wife of the late James Meehan of Taunton. Daughter of the late Roger A. and Mary F. (Kenney) Deveney.  Claire is predeceased by her siblings, Mary F. Deveney, Barbara A. Deveney, Geraldine (Deveney) Rogers, Edward J. Deveney, and Roger F. Deveney, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Claire was raised in Jamaica Plain. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Regis College and later became a teacher at Taunton High School.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield.  Burial will be in the Old Calvary Cemetery in Roslindale following the Mass.
