Murphy, Clare R. (Reilly), of Marshfield, passed away on March 13, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Arthur Murphy. Loving mother of Peter Murphy and his wife Laura of Delaware, Paul Murphy and his wife Leslie of Walpole, Arthur Murphy and his wife Siobhan of Natick, Brenden Murphy of Marshfield, and the late Judith Curtin. Dear grandmother of Chris and his wife Ashley, Daniel, Lauren, Patrick, Marissa, Erin, Thomas, John and one great grandchild Noah. Predeceased by siblings Eleanor, Anna, and Edmund, Clare leaves one sister, Mary, her sisters in-law Gloria and Alice, and many nieces and nephews.

Clare was born in Boston to the late Stephen and Mary (Guilfoyle) Reilly and in addition to raising her family worked as an office manager for Equifax. She loved to cook and tend to her garden, and volunteered her time for many years at the City of Newton Public Schools. Clare was dedicated to her husband and children and adored her grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte 139) Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield.
