Byrne, Corrine M. (Ellis) of Abington, formerly of Marshfield and Brighton, passed away on February 28, 2016 at the age of 85. Wife of the late Frederick Byrne, she was also predeceased by her son Patrick Byrne. Corrine is survived by her children Anne Marie Dunne and her husband James of West Roxbury, Maureen McGrath and her husband Jack of Abington, Timothy Byrne and his wife Deborah of Marshfield, Fred Byrne and his wife Debra of Plymouth, Susan Ploeg and her husband Ron of Rose Valley, PA, and Colleen Byrne of Hull. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Corrine worked for Raytheon until her retirement. She lived in Abington for the past 3 years, and previously made her home in Marshfield for 43 years.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury
