Damon Anthony Lopes, age 45 was born in Plymouth, MA to Jacqueline Lopes and Herbert Yancey and grew up surrounded by his large extended family. He was a caring father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Damon worked as a tradesman specializing in carpentry throughout his life.

Damon always had a strong connection to family and was one of the most loving people you could ever meet. He loved family gatherings and was always happiest when spending quality time with his family. He spent summers throughout his childhood with his godparents and loved to go on family vacations with them.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Damon. He was a foodie enjoying both delicious family meals and going to restaurants. Most of his free time was spent loving animals, fishing on the weekends, and being an avid motorcycle lover.

Damon gained his angel wings on March 6th, 2022. His personality was contagious to everyone he met and he will forever be loved.

He is survived by his two beautiful children Damia Basil and Tristan DeGrace, his loving parents Jacqueline Lopes and Herbert Yancey, maternal grandparents Patricia and Donald Wendell, siblings Joshua, Daryl, Andre, Malakai, Julian, and Rahsaan Lopes, Malisa and Mahogany Lacy, uncle Duane Lopes, Godparents Bruce and Robin Santiago, God siblings Stephaney, Stacey, Bruce Jr., and Brian Santiago Sr., and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Damon will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

A private family service will take place on Wednesday, March 16 at the MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield. A public Funeral Service will be held in April of 2022.
