Darcy L. Prendergast of Marshfield passed away on September 5, 2026.

Darcy was born in Lewiston, Maine and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. She worked for many years as a logistics manager in the import and export industry, most recently with Red Line Freight of Stoughton. She also worked as a waitress at Hugo’s Restaurant in Cohasset, Mass. Darcy loved the ocean, and she and her husband always vacationed on an island, from the islands of Hawaii to many of the Caribbean islands as well.

Darcy is survived by her husband Jack, her son Christopher of Braintree, and her son Peter of Scituate. She is also survived by her stepson Thomas of Marshfield, her stepson Jay of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and her stepdaughter Jennifer of East Bridgewater.

Darcy was blessed with seventeen grandchildren; Erica of Braintree, Victoria of East Bridgewater, Taylor and Jolene of Scituate, Madison of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Ashlyn of Taunton, Hazel of Quincy, Tommy, Kevin, and Jack of Marshfield, Alex of Braintree, Nicholas of East Bridgewater, Dylan and Kelan of Taunton, Tyler of Florida, Ethan and Jagger of Scituate, and most recently one great-granddaughter, Hazel of Quincy.

Darcy will always be remembered for her caring nature, love of family and generosity.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will conclude with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
