GEARY, David T. Sr., age 84, of Bradenton FL and formerly of Marshfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 31, 2025.

David was born and raised in Dorchester. After High School he joined the Army, where he was an awarded marksman (carbine) and Sharpshooter (rifle). He worked as a general contractor and joined the Iron Workers Union Local 7, where he spent many years working on the buildings in Boston and many other cities.

David was the beloved husband of 59 years to Marilyn Walsh Geary and loving father of David Geary Jr. and wife Kara of Hingham, Susan Martel and husband Geoff of Plymouth and Chris Geary and wife Christine of Pembroke; devoted "Grampy" of Michael and Joshua Geary, Brian and Ashley Martel, Kaitlyn, Miranda, and Matthew Geary; and brother of Frank Geary of Stoneham, the late Walter Geary from West Roxbury, and the late Pauline Butterfield of Badger, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dave will be sorely missed by family, friends and his community of Mt. Vernon in Bradenton, FL where he was most popular for his dancing skills.

Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield on Tuesday, February 11 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield, followed by burial in the Couch Cemetery. Following the burial the family would like to invite friends and family to join them for coalition at Marshfield Country Club 515 Moraine St. (Rte. 3A) Marshfield from 1:00 to 4:00 PM
