David F. McNulty, a retired Arlington school teacher, passed away peacefully at his home in Bourne on Thursday, August 4, 2022. He was 95 years old.
David was the devoted husband for 70 years of the late Mary A. McNulty (Walsh). Loving father of Kathleen Shea and husband John of Quincy, Patricia White and husband Don of Plymouth, David F. McNulty, Jr. and wife Paula of Franklin, and John McNulty and wife Michelle of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of Brendan and Kevin (wife Lindsay) Shea, Caitlin, Brian, and Michael White, Sarah, Emily, Colin, and Ryan McNulty, and Elizabeth and David McNulty. David was born and raised in Roslindale. He is predeceased by his eight (8) siblings: Mary McNulty, John J. McNulty MD, Eleanor Sylvia, Kay Macdonald, Bernard McNulty, William McNulty, Edward McNulty, and Fr. Robert McNulty.
David enjoyed travelling and vacations with his friends and family. Later in life, family cruises and trips to North Conway with his children and grandchildren created treasured memories. He loved spending his free time in Green Harbor. A double Eagle, Boston College High School and Boston College, he enjoyed BC football and hockey. He was a US Navy World War II veteran, who served on the USS Kearsarge, and a former grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, #2911. He was the ultimate handy man for his entire family; always ready to take on a new project.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield. Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private.
