David M. Brown of Marshfield passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 49. He was the beloved and devoted son of Barbara (Lukos) Brown, longtime resident of Marshfield and the late Roland C. Brown. David leaves his siblings Christina Brown and husband Michael Bell of Humarock, Matthew Brown and wife Nancy of Marshfield, Monica Zitz and husband Robert of Alexandria, VA, Anne-Marie Ludlum and husband Timothy of Port St. Lucie, FL and Mark Brown and wife Kathleen of Pembroke. He also leaves his uncle, J. David Lukos and wife Lise, his cousins, nieces and nephews.

David went to Marshfield High School and was a dedicated and proud member of Roofers Union Local 33 for many years. His customers and bosses appreciated his work ethic and attention to detail. The last couple of years he was grateful to be working under his mentor and captain as a mate on a lobster boat out of the South River. He loved the solace he found on the water and looked forward to going out every day.

David experienced a few trials in life and always worked to overcome them, relying on his faith and never giving up hope. That faith had led him to a productive and more peaceful time in his life. He was an avid reader and also greatly valued his close friendships.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street (Route 3A) in Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Madonna House Apostolate, online at https://www.madonnahouse.org/
