Dear father of Rebecca Spitz and her husband Kevin of Marshfield, Christopher Smith of Marshfield and Melissa Rounbehler and her husband Paul of Marshfield. Loving grandfather to Stephanie, Jonathan and Jessica Spitz, and Cole, Brett and Amelia Rounbehler. Dear brother of Norman Smith of Weymouth, Peter Smith of Cohasset, Janie Rivera of Minnesota, and Karen Smith of Brockton. David was born in Boston. He was a retired toll test man after thirty years of service from New England Telephone. David served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. He traveled all over the world on cruises. David was an avid golfer who also enjoyed camping and boating. A Funeral service will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street., rte 139, Marshfield on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. Visiting hours from 4 to 7 p.m. preceding the service.
