IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Webster
Richardson, Jr.
October 15, 2024
David Webster Richardson, Jr., of Marshfield, passed away on October 15. 2024 at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Catherine J. (Oliveri) Richardson; loving father of David W. Richardson, III of Marshfield, Jennifer M. (Jason) Laber of Centerville, and Christopher J. (Marissa) of Poland, ME; cherished grandfather of Paul, Colleen and Myrisa Richardson, Lauren, Joseph, and Adam Laber, and Bodhi and Bear Richardson; dear brother of Claudia Roberts of NH and Ginni Ann Hurteau of N. Hampton; cousin and brother of Scott Murphy and nephew of his guardian, the late Virginia Ross.
Affectionately known as "Buster" to his friends, Dave was a lifelong resident of Marshfield. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1969, where he lettered in four sports, and later earned his associate's degree in business from Fisher Junior College.
He met the love of his life, Cathy, at Rexhame Beach, and together they raised three wonderful children: David, Jennifer, and Christopher. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (lovingly called Pop, Poperoni, and Popsicle), and friend to many. His family and beloved dog Buddy, a retirement gift from his children, brought him great joy. Dave was known for his daily walks on the beach with Buddy, where he would often greet friends and neighbors along the way.
An active member of the Marshfield community, Dave participated in the JC's and Kiwanis clubs and was an avid golfer, spending much of his time at Green Harbor. He will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and his love for the simple pleasures of life.
David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
