David "Pepper" Tranter, 54, of Marshfield, MA, formerly of Quincy and Raynham, MA, passed away after a lengthy illness on January 9 th , 2018. He was born to late Edgar Leroy Tranter and Carmel Mary (Kelly) Tranter. He graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical high school in 1981, and he held several jobs throughout the years, most recently as a Technician for Comcast, though his favorite was silk-screening at Grossman's.
Pep was known to be quick with wit and sarcasm, but had the kindest of hearts. He was always willing to go above and beyond for anyone and everything he held close to his heart. All who knew him loved him. He loved to travel, and enjoyed cruising especially.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Tammy, and two daughters, his "girls," Amy and Melissa; his brothers, Mark Tranter of Raynham, MA, Scott Tranter and his wife Kim from Cold Brook, NY and James Tranter and his wife Patricia of Raynham, MA. He also is survived by many extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He'll be sorely missed by his beloved dogs, Jack and Bailey, and cats Roofus and Walter "Rusty".
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.
