David C. Whiting, of Marshfield, passed away on May 3, 2018 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of the late Diane F. (Freyleue) Whiting; dear father of Joshua C. Whiting and his wife Elenice of Westwood and Erik C. Whiting of Taunton; grandfather of Kevin Whiting; brother of the late Donald Whiting and Barbara Whiting.

David, Dad, spent the last 15-20 years living on the beach in Marshfield, it was his home.  There is no man that lived this earth that was more caring, loving and giving of literally everything he had to help other people that he deemed needed it more than he did.  Raised Joshua and Erik to be strong, show emotion but to never break.  He did an amazing Job at this!  For the last 3 years of Diane's life, he spent at her side, taking care of her as any great man would do for his One and Only, and he put her health above his own.  When she passed 2 years ago on Christmas Eve, he was broken and lost without her.  He wanted nothing more only than to make sure his boys were happy, healthy and strong before he let go….  They are now together again.  He is no longer in pain, as he had been for years.  No longer suffering.  No Longer Alone. Now he is together with the one he loved so much which is exactly what he wanted.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 19 ^th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.

Following the services, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Tiki Kye Restaurant, 2 Montello Street in Carver from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
