John and Pam were high school sweethearts and were married for 47 years. He was the love of her life and her whole world!
John was an avid Fly fisher, member of the Knights of Columbus, Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, volunteered for My Brothers Keeper delivering food on weekends and picking up furniture to deliver to those in need. He loved his Coffee shop crew where everything was discussed especially his faith. He had a heart full of love and compassion and he would show this love not only in his words, but more importantly in his actions. He had a smile and a laugh that would make anyone's day. He was loved by everyone!
John loved his family and friends, but his greatest love was the Lord and his ministry. John loved serving the Lord as a Permanent Deacon for the Archdioceses of Boston. Ordained in 2006, he served as Deacon at St. Peter Church in Plymouth and Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Marshfield and most recently at both Our Lady of the Assumption Church and St. Ann by the Sea Church in Marshfield.
John was a graduate of both Bentley College (B.S., Management and M.S., Accounting) and with an MBA from Suffolk University. He enjoyed a long and successful career in IT systems development and implementation in the financial, banking, and health care industries. He retired in April of 2022 and formed his own IT consulting firm, JAH Consulting Services.
Most likely he's "drinking coffee" with all the old gang he has ministered to over the years .......the leader of our band is home .....He has finished the race! You were special. We couldn't help being drawn to your warmth. Rest in peace. May God bless you my friend... until we meet again!

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, followed by a graveside service and burial in the Duxbury Mayflower Cemetery.
